Product Certification Program
Z-Wave Europe is only selling products that have undergone a strict quality and functionality testing that goes beyond what the Z-Wave alliance is testing in terms of interoperability (Z-Wave certification). Z-Wave Europe is issuing a special "Z-Wave Europe Recommended" tag to those products that meet the highest criteria in terms of quality, usability, documentation and interoperability.
Z-Wave Europe will award products as "Z-Wave Europe recommended " only if they meet all of the following criteria:
- complies to CE
- passed Z-Wave Alliance Certification Test
- meets all safety standards
- must not be on the Z-Wave Europe Technical Black List
- must not be on the Z-Wave Europe Users Black List
- supports Explorer Frame technology to reorganize networks (SDK4.5 and up)
- supports Multi Channel Association Command Class if association groups are present (Exceptions may apply)
- supports Wireless Link Testing process defined in Powerlevel Command Class (for mains powered devices only, Exceptions may apply)
- DOA rate and field defects is below 1% (measured after 3 month in the field)
